Recently, a 5th grader come to us for support.
She was struggling and mom was at a loss of how to help.
The problem? She could not figure out how to solve long division.
Mom was desperate for support, so we immediately got to work.
And after just one session - her tutor realized something. It wasn’t that this child couldn’t figure out long division.
The REAL problem?
She hadn’t built a solid foundation for 3 digit subtraction with regrouping - a 3rd grade skill.
Those holes in her foundations…those gaps - they didn’t go away.
In fact, they just got bigger and were putting her further and further behind every grade that passed.
She always “just gotten by”.
3 months after working with one of our tutors - she not only mastered 3 digit subtraction with regrouping, but she built a foundation for long division and now feels so much more confident in class.
Her sessions have shifted from “catching up!” to “staying ahead!”
And it all started with mom taking action and asking for help.
Imagine what's possible for your child?
What would their attitude around school and homework be if they felt truly confident in themself?
